Day 3; Happiness is a Rarity
So, we've made it to day three! After this, there will be one more blog on how to make your life better, then it's off to other stuff! If you have any ideas, please email me or comment below after you read. Today, I'm going to give you some tips on how to make your life happier and better. Yes, blog one was kind of like this, but this one is more focused on making you happier and getting more out of your day than making you feel better or less frustrated. So, here are three tips for you all. 1. Exercise Yes, yes, we've all heard this one before. And before I tried it, I thought exercising to make your day better was just this ruse to take me away from my TV time. But working out is not always the same as exercising. Yoga is often good for you and easy to do while you watch TV or listen to music. Stretching in general is way better to open up your bretpathing while you are at home, much better than laying on the couch. Wall sits, squats, and even sit ups can also be done in the living room to make you more awake and ready to tackle the day. 2. Having a sleep schedule Having a sleep schedule, as well as making your sleep better, can help make you more awake and active during the day. Since your body gets used to the amount of sleep you are getting, it adapts to fit the levels of other things; including your happiness. It is best to try to go to sleep and wake up at the same time everyday for the best effects. 3. Listening to your favorite music Do you have that one playlist that you could just listen to,over and over and never get tired of? Every week, make a playlist of your current favorite songs, whether on Spotify or Amazon Music. This can help wake you up in the morning or pump you up right before a big event. I find this helpful myself and even post my playlist each week on my bulletin board so I won't forget about it! And there you go! A simple, three part list of tips to help you make your day happier and more fulfilling!

Day 2; Sleep is Everything
Ever tried going for two, even three days without sleep? It's hard, isn't it? That's because our body needs sleep to function; it gives us time to process all the information from the day and let our body rest and let our brain go off into dreamland. But, if you're like me, it can be extremely difficult to fall asleep. So, I've scavenged the internet for ways to help me fall asleep faster, and made a lovely list for you all. 1. Get rid of light Well, I've bet you've heard it before, but light is not good for your eyes when you are trying to sleep. It can trick your brain into thinking that it is too early to go to sleep, and keep it stimulated and you awake for hours. The blue light(the light from electronics) can often be the worst, so it is best to turn of all of those lights approximately 30 minutes before going to bed. This may be hard, and some, me included, have developed the habit of using their phone or laptop before bed, but it does help. Another way to get rid of outside lights is to get thicker blinds to block out the street and car lights outside your window, by the way. 2. Meditation or yoga This one is also likely said a lot, but it can help. These options are more likely you stretch out your body and relax your mind before going to bed. It can help your breathing patterns and may even calm your dreams. 3. The 4-7-8 breathing technique This particular breathing technique is pretty popular, as it helps your breathing calm down and helps your heartbeat slow. It is helpful for when you are anxious or scared, but is especially good for when you are trying to fall asleep. For some people, it is said to help you fall asleep in a minute or less. This particular option does not work for me, personally, but for some people it can be extremely helpful. 4. Food patterns As a kid, did anyone else's parents never let them eat after an hour before their bed times? I always thought it was to make me more sleepy, but eating food right before you lay in bed can actually make it harder for you to sleep. As the food makes its way through your digestive system, it works better while you are standing up. Therefore, when you lay down to sleep, it makes it harder to fall into a peaceful state when your stomach is using so much energy to digest food. You are also more likely to be sick if you lay down directly after eating, so I would personally recommend against it. (Although tea with honey IS good for helping you sleep) i hope that this list helps you slowly develop a new pattern and lets you get back that peaceful sleep you deserve. Day 1; Keeping it Simple
Have you ever had a day where everything just seems to be going wrong? You feel terribly sick, or maybe you just got fired from your job. We all have awful days like that, but some of us might feel like our whole life is just one big mistake. So, for my first ever blog, I've come up with three ways to make your day -and even your life- better. 1. Go Outside By going outside, you get fresh air, cool wind in your face, and some nice rays on your face. Even if it's raining outside, just let yourself go and have fun. Even if it's just the parking lot outside your office, it is sure to help. 2. Smile It's actually scientifically proven that by just smiling(even if it is a fake smile) can help boost your's and the people around you's happiness levels. That's all you have to do; smile. 3. Surround Yourself With Happy People Happiness is contagious; if the people around you are happy and enjoying their life, you are more likely to as well. They can help you see how wonderful the small things are in life, and you will feel more content with everything. I hope this small list can help you with trying to sort out your life, and making you more happy with the world around you. Sometimes you just can't change how others act, but you can hange how you act and shape those around you. |
